Changes, spirits, half a million dollars, and a long day

Recent past/near future:
I got promoted to "Senior Research Programmer"!
I've accepted a small part-time job (1 weekend day + some holiday float time) at our favorite local wine store
Next week is crazycrazy time for me - Sunday through Wednesday I manage a ~$500k deployment, and on Saturday the 12th, I run my first ultramarathon (Howl At The Moon - I'm aiming for >35 miles)
